The Adventures of Bakesta: July 2010

These are a compilation of a few trips to Tramway and to Mammoth areas for some fishing. In the Tramway set Brad Still sent Left hand of Darkness V9/10 . I sent The Right Road V10 and there is a video to watch as well. I got the First ascent of Last of the Mohicans V5 it is a boulder laying against A Tribe Called Conquest. Rad climb. Starts on a right hand crimp and a better left hand crimp with good feet. stand into a good under cling and the bump out to the arete to a zenolyth. you then bump to an okay sloping crimp and again to a jug with a tough match. Justin Bowen got the Second ascent followed by Brad with the 3rd.

Mammoth was a good relaxing trip although the fishing wasn't so successful. the snow melt made for high water levels and murky water. I wasn't approaching that scenario right. But still had a good time. I was able to snap off a few good photos which made it worth it. Time spent in the Sierras is never wasted.
